The Christian County SWCD is here to serve the citizens of Christian County by protecting it's natural resources.  We achieve this by offering many services free of charge.  These services include Conservation Planning, Seeding and Fertilizer Planning, Financial Assistance for those who qualify, and Educating Youth and Adults about our Natural Resources.  To find out more about what we can do for you, read the following or contact us.

  • Conservation Planning - Assisting landowners in the identification of natural resource concerns on their property and development of a management strategy that addresses the resource concerns. The management plan will provide alternatives to the landowner that will utilize natural resources in the most efficient and sustainable way.

  • Seeding and Fertilizer Planning- Provide information to landowners on species compatibility with the soils that they have on their property. Interpret soil tests and make recommendations for planting and yearly fertilizer applications based on desired yield goals and soil productivity. Make recommendations on existing forage systems to increase yield and efficiency.

  • Financial Assistance - There are many programs available to help responsible landowners improve the health of their land.  Please visit our Financial Assistance page for more information.

  • Education - With limited resources and unlimited dedication, the Christian County SWCD has managed to provide its residents a broad variety of outreach services.  Please visit our Education page for more information.
